Daily Smoothie: Banana Orange Slide

Today I enjoyed my Greens Smoothie as my Post Workout, which means I made some minor adjustments. As always, I used my base recipe, but replace the liquid with Cottage Cheese (can use Greek Yogurt as well) and added a ½ scoop of Vegan Brown Rice Protein. As you probably already guessed, the cottage cheese and protein powder was to increase my protein intake after my training session. Side note…I stopped consuming protein powders/whey a few months ago, because my body was not digesting them well and I would instantly feel sick afterwards. I do prefer wholefoods even as my Post Workout, but I have also been on the search for a natural substitute for whey proteins…even something that could be used in my baking. This is my second time adding the Vegan Brown Rice Protein to my smoothie and so far I have not noticed any issues. I like this one, but I will continue to search as well…I’m curious, do you have any recommendations for natural/vegan proteins powders. Back on track….Hope you give the smoothie a try….Enjoy!!
