Maple-Apple Cinnamon Oat Cookies


In need of a sweet treat?  Try these delicious Oat Cookies overloaded with amazing flavors from 100% pure maple syrup, chopped apples and cinnamon.  This batch of awesomeness is perfect for everyone, from all you Fit Foodies to your kiddoes.

Dry Ingredients
  • 49g Brown Rice Flour (I use Bob’s Red Mill)
  • 49g Oat Flour (I use Bob’s Red Mill)
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ¾ tsp Cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Sea Salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 95g Natural Unsweetened Applesauce
  • ½ cup (8 tbs) 100% Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1 (50g) Large Egg
  • ½ tsp Vanilla (I use Simply Organic)
  • 100g Quaker’s Quick Oats (Not Whole Oats)
  • 140g Apples (Chopped)
  • Add chopped Pecans or Walnuts
What You Need
  • 2 Bowls
  • Hand Mixer
  • Spoon
  • Small Ice Cream Scooper (Optional)
  • Cookie Sheet/Silicone Cookie Pad
  • Parchment Paper (Optional)
  • Measuring Spoons & Cups
  • Scale
  • Cooking Spray/Oil
  • Note: This is not a thick batter.
  • Batter will make 16 large or 32 Small Cookies.
  • Use an ice cream scooper for uniform sizes, there is a scooper shown in the pictures below.
  • For 16 cookies, use two scoops of batter. For 32 cookies, use one scoop of batter.
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cookie sheet with cooking spray and/or parchment paper if you are using.
  2. Combine all wet ingredients; blend with hand mixer for 30 seconds. Set aside.
  3. Combine all dry ingredients in second bowl, mixed thoroughly. Add flour mixture to wet ingredients, mix with hand mixer until combined.
  4. Add oats and chopped apples to the mixture, stir with large spoon.
  5. Drop batter by one or two scoops on cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes (Remember all ovens are not created equal, be sure to check after 20 minutes).
  7. Remove from oven; allow to cool for 1 minute on cookie sheet. Remove from cookie sheet and place on cooling rack or plate to cool.
  8. Enjoy!!
Remember, you can always adjust recipe to smaller or larger portions to meet your needs and goals.
